Urs Wäckerli (Violin)

As a teenager he played in the Philharmonic College Orchestra of Zürich. After he finished his studies in natural sciences, he lived as a professional folk, rock and jazz musician for ten years. In this time, he played with Bacchus, Octopus, Evensteven, Max Lässer, Trio Grande, Infra Steff’s Red Devil Band, Swiss Drums Orchestra, Jon Harrington Trio and many others. He was on stage for TV shows with Andreas Vollenweider, Tania Maria, Lucio Dalla. Several EPs, LPs and CDs document his musical diversity. In 1977, together with Harald Haerter, he founded the famous String Jazz Quintet.
